Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure that improves the appearance of the upper or lower eyelids, or both, by removing excess skin, fat, and muscle. The goal of the surgery is to create a more youthful, rested, and refreshed appearance around the eyes.

Benefits of Blepharoplasty – The benefits of blepharoplasty include:

    • Improved vision: Removing excess skin from the upper eyelids can improve vision that may have been obstructed by sagging skin.

    • Younger appearance: Blepharoplasty can help to restore a youthful and rested appearance to the eye area, making you look less tired and more refreshed.

    • Enhanced self-confidence: Many people report feeling more confident and self-assured after having blepharoplasty, as it can significantly improve their appearance.

    • Long-lasting results: The results of blepharoplasty are long-lasting, provided that you maintain a stable weight and take care of your skin.

    • Minimal scarring: Blepharoplasty is typically performed using small incisions that are well-hidden in the natural folds of the eyelid. This results in minimal scarring that is often barely noticeable.

Procedure Followed at Eveite’s Facility – In general, the following steps are involved in the procedure:

    • Consultation: A thorough consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon is the first step in planning your blepharoplasty. During the consultation, our surgeon will assess your needs and determine the best approach for you.

    • Anesthesia: Blepharoplasty is typically performed using local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the procedure and the patient’s preference.

    • Incision placement: The Eveite’s surgeon will make incisions in the natural creases of the eyelids or along the lash line to minimize visible scarring.

    • Excess skin removal: The surgeon will remove excess skin, fat, and muscle as needed, taking care to maintain the natural shape of the eyelid.

    • Closing incisions: The incisions are closed with fine sutures, and a protective dressing or shield may be applied to protect the eyes.
